What's The Story or Meaning Behind Your Name?

source : Mr Google

Since I can't sleep, so I decided to write something on my blog about the story or meaning behind your name. This idea comes from my class of Grammar in Context. Our lecturer asked us to do some ice-breaking about a name, the course that we are studying, our previous foreign language and meaning behind everyone's name.

It's quite interesting for me because you will find different types of hidden meaning of people name, especially for Chinese student. I also just found out that my best friend name "Faiza" meaning that "successful". So if you combine "Nur" with "Faiza" means that a person that bring "light of successful" if I'm not mistaken.

To be honest, I don't really know why my parents gave me this name "NURULATIKA". If you search maybe in google I think there is no specific meaning behind that name. People also confused how to pronounce it either as NURU-LATIKA or NURUL ATIKA. Even myself, I also confused. Hahaha

Besides that, my friends or lecturer always misspelling it as "NURUL ATIQAH" or "NURUL ATIKAH". Since when I have the capital of "Q" and "H" there? hahaha. However, I don't blame my parents because of my name. I really proud to have that name because, in the attendance class, my name will be the last name that starts with the letter "N". Hahaha, so it is easier for me to sign.

Whatever name that you carried, you should be proud of it. At least you know that you are unique and different from everyone that have a common name.

I don't say that your name is bad. Just be confident! Hahaha

He Is Special - Part 1

Tiada kisah yang teramat manis selain kisah cinta.

Source : MR Google

Whenever I catch myself
My eyes are on him
I just can't look at anyone else

I catch myself thinking about him all the time
and his face always appear in my mind
before I go to sleep

I never felt this way about anyone before
so I thought these feelings were something special
I want to know more about him and
my own feelings

I don't understand my own feelings
I want to understand them
I want to know
Maybe I'll understand if I start talking to him

I wonder if I'll find my answer
When did I start liking him?
What made me start liking him?
What made me realize he was special?

Are those questions that need to be answered logically?

When I became aware of it
I realized he'd always been special to me
I can't even compare him to anyone else

So, if you can compare someone with others
does that make them special?

First Week Of A New Semester

It is difficult to fight against first week of new semester.

Hahaha. Memang sakitlah.

Setiap kali aku berusaha mahu fully attendance mesti ada saja godaan datang menyerang. Hari ini my coursemate a.k.a my best friend whatsapp, dorang cakap tak nak datang kuliah APK (Asas Pembudayaan Keusahawanan) kononnya sebab masih minggu pertama. Adohaii kawan. Ada yang still on the way dari kampung balik asrama so mungkin ada sedikit lewat atau mungkin tak sempat.

So? Kesimpulannya? datang ke atau tidak?

So your first day wasn't so great? Don't stress! Tomorrow will come, full of new opportunities and new chances to do something incredible.
Tetapi jam 2 nanti ada kuliah untuk subjek course aku "Introduction to Parental and Non-Traditional Families" huhu bukan main lagi tajuk. Apa yang bestnya setiap semester mesti belajar something interesting tentang Psikologi Kanak-kanak & Keluarga. Tidak pernah boring belajar psikologi ini. It is because psychology is everywhere. It's all around you.

Daripada belajar "Introduction to Child Psychology", "Infant & Child Development Psychology" sehinggalah sampai last semester "Child In Troubled Families". And this new semester we will be in the lab doing experiment! Yeeaahh!

First week in new semester ini biasanya student boleh huhahuha lagi sebab assignment belum ada lagi.

Walau bagaimanapun, I always remind myself :

Make this semester about you and your own success! Don't compare yourself, don't stress about the competition, just be proud of yourself. Every day you do something remarkable, no matter how small.

- Surah Alam Nasyrah, Ayat 5

20 Inspirational Quotes About Blogging

I do write some quotes to express how I feel especially about blogging. Whenever I feel down I just look at these quotes to make me feel better. Sometimes in life, we meet challenges, hurdles, and all kind of obstacles. There are days that we wake up feeling totally unmotivated to do anything.

20 Inspirational Quotes About Blogging

So here I am helping you to go through some of your tough and sometimes bumpy days. Here are 20 inspirational quotes about blogging.

  • You have to make a decision to write for your readers, not to try to find more readers for your writing.
  • Anyone can start a blog, but the real test is getting readers.
  • Finding success is all about taking action. You can read all you want, but nothing will happen until you start doing something.
  • Today, if you want to get noticed, you need to create remarkable content. Quality beats quantity on every level.
  • It’s better to create ONE remarkable piece in a month than to publish numerous boring articles every week.
  • It might sound good in theory, but who is your target reader? “Everyone?”
  • Some fail because they don’t have a purpose. Some fail because they didn’t have clearly-defined goals. Some fail because people’s hearts just weren’t into them.
  • As bloggers, we all know that it feels so good to be mentioned in another bloggers post. But the real “feel good” part comes from when readers tell you how your specific blog post helped them or inspired them.
  • Transparency is very important in blogging – more important that you possibly realize. Readers connect with you much more when you’re willing to show that you’re a real person … just like them.
  • If you try too hard to be original, you’re probably going to fail as a blogger. So what should you do? Read the works of others. See what’s successful in your particular blogging niche. Take someone else’s idea and put your own spin on it. Make it your own. Make it better.
  • A “magic formula” or easy blueprint for achieving blogging success does not exist. Success is hard work. Some people look for reasons to give up or not try.
  • Success (often) takes time. True, sometimes success happens fast. Some blogs and bloggers get big and popular so fast it makes you go “how the heck did that happen?” It’s the desire to be like these bloggers — the desire to speed up the be successful process — which causes people to seek out magic formulas and shortcuts.
  • If you want to succeed as a blogger, you’re going to have to roll up your sleeves and work at it.
  • Everyone defines success differently. Don’t compare yourself to others, or your blog to other blogs, especially if your definition of success differs from theirs.
  • Your blog post needs to be a journey for your reader, a journey with a point of departure and a clear destination. And it needs to be a journey worth taking.
  • If your destination is for the readers to learn something, it means that by the time they’ve finished reading your post, either they will have gained new information or they’ll have discovered a new way of doing something.
  • Blogging can be jarringly personal – like ripping your heart out and offering it up to strangers. Like it or not, putting your ideas in the public domain and running the risk that someone might not like them – even hate them – is the price of entry for being a successful blogger.
  • Remember, if someone has a negative reaction to something you wrote, that means your writing is powerful. Your writing caused someone to react. And that’s got to be a good thing.
  • The more time you put into your blog, the more successful it becomes. The more successful your blog becomes, the more it demands of your time.
  • We bloggers are often our own worst enemies. We’ll sit down at a computer with a cup of coffee ready to “blog.” That’s good. But the problem is “blogging” isn’t a singular activity. It’s many activities.
